  • another用作形容词的基本意思是“(又)另一个的”,主要指同类中又多一(个)的或与前述不同的另一个的,在句中只用作定语。another后常接单数可数名词,但当复数名词前有基数词或few时,也可用another修饰。
  • another这个形容词是由an和other两词合缀而成,因此它不能加冠词或其他限定性的形容词。
  • another常用在单数形式的可数名词前。也可以用作是代名词，后不接名词。修饰不可数的复数名词时，通常用more。Could I have another piece of bread?Could I have another (one)?Would you like some more meat.
